2. Current Openings

We’re actively seeking dedicated individuals for the following roles:

2.1 Advocacy Officer
  • Location: Cape Town, South Africa
  • Type: Full-time
  • Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement human rights campaigns.
    • Build relationships with stakeholders and government officials.
    • Represent HumanRights.org.za at events and conferences.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Law, or a related field.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in advocacy or a similar role.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
2.2 Content Writer
  • Location: Remote
  • Type: Part-time
  • Responsibilities:
    • Write articles, blog posts, and newsletters on human rights issues.
    • Ensure content aligns with our mission and values.
    • Collaborate with the communications team to generate impactful stories.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or English.
    • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
    • Familiarity with global human rights topics is a plus.
2.3 Volunteer Coordinator
  • Location: Cape Town, South Africa
  • Type: Full-time
  • Responsibilities:
    • Recruit and manage volunteers for events and campaigns.
    • Conduct training sessions and provide guidance to volunteers.
    • Evaluate and report on volunteer program effectiveness.
  • Qualifications:
    • Experience in volunteer management or HR.
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
    • Passion for humanitarian work.
